Guitarist and composer Guillermo Celano is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, he has been a resident of Amsterdam for many years. In 2013 Guillermo was assigned festival composer by North Sea Jazz Festival. In addition to Wild Man Conspiracy Guillermo is also currently working with the Celano/Baggiano Group, Lila’s Déjà vu (with Ingrid Laubrock) and Thelonious4. According to Troy Collins: “Celano is emblematic of New Dutch Swing,…his respective knack for integrating multiple genres into a cohesive writing style facilitates a wide spectrum of sonic possibilities” (pointofdeparture ,USA, June 2011).

Since 1995,trumpeter Gerard Kleijn has led a very wide variety of groups and has made 10 CDs as a leader. In addition to Wild Man Conspiracy he is currently also active as the leader of Clazz Ensemble and the Gerard Kleijn Group. His groups have performed in Holland from the North Sea Jazz Festival to the Concertgebouw Amsterdam as well as at festivals and venues throughout Europe, Middle East, Mexico and the United States. Some CD releases featuring Gerard’s compositions include Big Moves (1998), Love Quotes (2001), New World (2003) and he re-composed/arranged works by Erik Satie on Le Flirt de Satie (2007) featuring the Gerard Kleijn Group. He makes pure chamber jazz using J.S. Bach as his source of inspiration with Bach Reflections on To B or not to B (2014). Since 2007 he has co-led, together with saxophone player Dick de Graaf, the 12-piece Clazz Ensemble. Clazz Ensemble has produced several projects including Adventures live at the Bimhuis (2009), Delta Suite (2010), Federico on Broadway (2012), Monk Inside Out (2014), Bach DNA (2014).

He is one of the Netherlands finest trumpeters and composers. The music is innovative, entertaining, sensitive and imaginative.” Downbeat(USA) writes: ‘’The musical surprises come with close listening.”
Drummer Joost Kesselaar has performed/recorded with a wide range of artists such as Kenny Wheeler, Benny Nailey, Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Cedar Walton, Clazz Ensemble, Gerard Kleijn Group, Charlie Mariano, Markus Stockhausen etc. A recipient of grants from various foundations he has been mentored by legendary drummers such as Idris Mohammed, Joe Chambers, Andrew Cyrille and Jeff Hamilton. Joost is also on the faculty at Utrecht Conservatory. He is at the moment one of the most in demand drummers in the Netherlands and beyond.
